Women's Empowerment Conference The purpose of the Women’s
Empowerment conference is to bring a group of women leaders
together. The conference provides networking opportunities,
workshops, panel discussions and other activities aimed toward
developing participants’ understanding and awareness of the various
routes to personal and professional empowerment. The fourth annual
conference will be held at Riverside on February 24, 2007.
Brown Bag Lunch Series
Each month, the WRC offers a lunch time speaker, movie, or activity,
on a variety of topics of primary interest to faculty and staff,
though students are also welcome to attend. Previous topics
have included everything from quilting to caring for those who
suffer from Alzheimer's. Visit our

WILL Women Involved in Learning and Leading is a new
learning community that has been created in cooperation with Women's
Studies and Housing and Residential Communities.

Young Women Leaders is a leadership development and
mentoring program for undergraduate female students. Volunteers are
selected through an application & interview process and must commit

Unscripted This group of student
actors/peer educators use interactive theatre to educate their
fellow students about issues of Sexual Assault, Relationship
Violence, Stalking, and other forms of oppression such as racism,
heterosexism, etc. Click here

Men Against Violence This voluntary group of
men serve as allies to women who are working to end sexism, with a
particular focus on violence against women (Sexual
Assault, Relationship Violence, and Stalking). MAV members work to educate themselves
as well as other men on issues of masculinity and social stereotypes
to better understand this gendered issue.
