Women’s Resource Guide
This guide contains information on organizations and programs for
women. These resources are divided into university, community,
state, and national sections. Please stop by the WRC for a free
copy.
Violence Against Women on Campus: A
Guide for Faculty and Staff This guide was designed
especially for faculty and staff who work with students at the
university. It defines sexual assault and dating violence, as well
as the role of alcohol and other drugs, warning signs, and what to
do if you know someone who has been raped or is in a violent
relationship. This guide was originally distributed to all faculty
and professional staff in 1998 and was revised in 2002 and again in
2006. It is given to all new faculty and staff during their
orientation through Human Resources.
A PDF of the guide can be downloaded by clicking here. If
you would like a hard copy, please contact the WRC at (205) 348-5040
or
wrc@sa.ua.edu to request one.
Violence Against Women Peer Educator’s
Resource Manual This manual was originally created
for training purposes with our original peer education groups. It has since been updated to
fit any campus, and the information it supplies is made current each
year. A number of other campuses have purchased this guide for use
with their peer educators.
