Faculty and staff have
an opportunity to develop their knowledge of resources available to victims of
sexual assault and domestic violence in the new Harbor training session
available through the Women’s Resource Center.
The purpose of Harbor is to create safe places all
over campus where victims of sexual assault and domestic violence can go to
receive assistance. Through the training, faculty and staff will gain
insight and sensitivity to the issues of domestic violence and
sexual assault.
Further, participants will be made aware of the resources available to victims
so they can pass this information along to all who need it.
Harbor trainings
last about 90 minutes and can be incorporated into a single staff meeting or broken
into components to accommodate participant schedules. Those who
complete the program will be given an identifying placard to display in their
office, as well as a certificate of completion.
Harbor is a program of
the Campus Violence Task Force, made up of representatives from the UA Police,
Athletics, Judicial Affairs, Black Faculty Staff Association and more. For more information or to schedule a Harbor training,
